# Companies & Shared Taxi

Commission and review rules for companies, and shared taxi settings.

## Companies settings

**System Settings → Companies** sets rules for all [companies](/documentation/people-and-companies/companies.md).

| Setting                              | Meaning                                                                       |
| ------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Suspend time (hours)**             | How many hours a company is suspended after a bad review.                     |
| **Priority time (hours)**            | How many hours a company gets priority after a good review.                   |
| **Commission for all companies (%)** | Sets the same commission for every company.                                   |
| **Commission method**                | How the commission is added to the booking price: **Markup** or **Gross up**. |

Changing **Commission for all companies** overwrites the commission of every company with the new value.

## Shared Taxi Settings

**System Settings → Shared Taxi Settings** controls how passengers are matched for shared rides.

| Setting                               | Meaning                                                                          |
| ------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Show before start**                 | How many hours before the start a ride is shown for sharing.                     |
| **Show during trip**                  | Hides the ride a set number of hours before the start.                           |
| **Time difference (min)**             | The maximum difference in start time between bookings.                           |
| **Distance difference (km)**          | The maximum distance between bookings.                                           |
| **Distance difference to route (km)** | The maximum distance between the booking's route and a companion's pickup point. |
| **Shared taxi discounts**             | Discounts for shared rides.                                                      |
