# Website Booking Form

Embed the CodiCo booking form on your website and share your referral link.

The booking form lets customers get a price and book a ride on your own website. Open **Sales & Marketing → Website Booking Form** to get the code and change the settings.

## Referral link and QR code

<figure><img src="https://3342310576-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FCGCbj77Uf83iIZ9ZIqRp%2Fuploads%2FIAW9ClVQhnIF0GnOSqQA%2Fwidget-referral.webp?alt=media" alt="Referral link field with Save and Reset, QR code with Download QR Code, and the General settings"><figcaption><p>Referral link, QR code and General settings (demo data).</p></figcaption></figure>

The **Referral link** is the address of the page on your website where the booking form is placed, followed by an encoded partner ID, for example `https://your-site-name.com/book-your-taxi/?cGFydG5lci1pZD0x`. Enter the address of your booking page and click **Save**. **Reset** restores the saved value.

**Download QR Code** downloads a QR code of the link, ready for flyers, cars or a hotel desk.

{% hint style="info" %}
Bookings made through a referral link are credited to the partner in the link. See [Referral partners](/documentation/people-and-companies/partners.md) for how partners earn commissions.
{% endhint %}

## General settings

| **Step #2 address** | Where step 2 of the booking opens. Enter an absolute or relative URL (for example `/booking`) or the ID of an element on the page (for example `widget-container`). Leave it empty if you don't need it. |

## Add the form to your website

<figure><img src="https://3342310576-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FCGCbj77Uf83iIZ9ZIqRp%2Fuploads%2FDRLLbirTgAfWf1wdRVjN%2Fwidget-code.webp?alt=media" alt="Instructions with the script tag and the at-widget-booking tag, each with a copy button"><figcaption><p>The two pieces of code to add to your website.</p></figcaption></figure>

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Add the script

Add the script once to your website, for example in the page header. Copy it with the copy button. The address in the script is your own system's address.

```html
<script src="https://<your-system-address>/widget/main.js"></script>
```

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Insert the form

Place the form tag where the form should appear on the page:

```html
<at-widget-booking locale="en" hide-ride-types="transfer,delivery" last-books="yes"></at-widget-booking>
```

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Check the result

Open the page and make a test search. The **Preview** at the bottom of the settings page shows how the form looks.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

The attributes in the tag:

| Attribute         | Meaning                                                                                                                                    |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| `locale`          | The form language, for example `en`.                                                                                                       |
| `hide-ride-types` | Ride types that are hidden in the form, separated by commas. |
| `last-books` | `yes` shows a message with recent bookings, for example *198 bookings were booked today*. |
| `partner-id` | Optional. Credits bookings from this form to a referral partner. See [Referral partners](/documentation/people-and-companies/partners.md). |

{% hint style="warning" %}
Always copy the code from your own console. The address in the script must be your system's address, not the demo address.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://codico-dispatch.gitbook.io/documentation/sales-and-marketing/website-booking-form.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
