# Driver Mobile App

Install the CodiCo Driver App and give your drivers access.

Drivers receive their rides and update the ride status in the **CodiCo Driver App** for Android and iOS. The installation guide is also in the admin console under **People & Companies → Driver Mobile App**.

## Set up a driver

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Create the driver

Add the driver in **People & Companies → Drivers → Add new**. See [Drivers](/documentation/people-and-companies/drivers.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Single drivers receive their credentials by email

If the driver is added as a single-driver company (**Work as single driver (freelancer)**), they receive their login details by email. They use the same details in the app.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Install the app

Ask the driver to install the **CodiCo Driver App** from Google Play or the Apple App Store. The download buttons are on the **Driver Mobile App** page in the admin console.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Give the driver their access details

Send the driver their login email, their password and your system URL, for example `your-system-name.codico.io`.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Log in

The driver logs in with these details and can start using the app immediately.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Follow the driver

Once the driver is online, you see their location and status on the map in [Live Tracking](/documentation/bookings-and-dispatch/live-tracking.md).
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## What the driver does in the app

Drivers receive the bookings assigned to them and move each ride through its statuses — on the way, arrived, passenger on board and completed. The admin console shows each change in the bookings list. See [Booking and Payment Statuses](/documentation/bookings-and-dispatch/booking-and-payment-statuses.md).

## White-label apps

You can have fully branded Driver and Passenger apps published under your own store accounts. Order them from the CodiCo team or [contact us](https://codico.io/get-free-quote/). Read more about the [driver and passenger mobile apps](https://codico.io/taxi-dispatch-software/mobile-apps/).

If you build and publish your own white-label apps, this three-part series walks you through it:

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://codico-dispatch.gitbook.io/documentation/people-and-companies/driver-mobile-app.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
