# Affiliates

Business customers who book on account, pay later on invoice and receive an affiliate commission.

**Affiliates** are business customers — for example a company that books transfers for its staff or its clients — who book through their own account. You can let an affiliate pay later on invoice (**deferred payments**) and give them an **affiliate commission** on their bookings. Open the list with **People & Companies → Affiliates**.

| Column                             | What it shows                                                                    |
| ---------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **ID**, **Name**, **Email**        | The affiliate's account.                                                         |
| **Commission**                     | The affiliate commission.                                                        |
| **Auto billing**                   | Whether commission invoices are generated automatically for each billing period. |
| **Deferred payments (On invoice)** | Whether the affiliate can pay later on invoice.                                  |

Each row has **Invoicing** and **Edit**.

## Add an affiliate

Click **Add new**, or open an existing customer in **People & Companies → Customers** and use the **Affiliation** block:

| Setting                      | What it does                                                                    |
| ---------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Make this user affiliate** | Gives the customer the affiliate role.                                          |
| **Affiliate commission**     | The affiliate's commission.                                                     |
| **Bill automatically**       | Commission payout invoices are generated automatically for each billing period. |
| **Deferred payments**        | The affiliate can book now and pay later on invoice.                            |

## Deferred payments

Click **Invoicing** in an affiliate's row to see the affiliate's bookings on account. Filter them by **Pending** or **Complete**. For each booking the list shows the date, booking number, booking amount, discount, status and amount to pay.
