# Booking.com

Receive Booking.com Taxi bookings and show your prices to Booking.com customers.

With the Booking.com integration, your prices are shown to Booking.com customers who search for a transfer, new bookings assigned to you appear in **Bookings** with the Booking.com icon, and acceptance, driver details, trip progress and live location are sent back to Booking.com.

Open **Integrations → Booking.com**. The page has two tabs: **Connection settings** and **Vehicle category mapping**.

{% hint style="warning" %}
You need an active **Booking.com Taxi** supplier partnership. Your Booking.com account manager gives you the API credentials. Start in sandbox (test) mode and switch to production only when Booking.com confirms you are live.
{% endhint %}

## Connect

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Turn the integration on

Enable **Enable Booking.com integration** and **Receive bookings (Farm In)**. Click **Save**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Enter your Booking.com API details

Paste the **API Client ID** and **API Client Secret** from Booking.com. Leave **Auth token URL** and **API base URL** as they are while testing. Click **Test connection**, then **Save**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Set up webhooks

Create a **Webhook OAuth Client ID** and **Webhook OAuth Client Secret** yourself (long and random), and save them. Send them to Booking.com together with the four addresses shown on the page: **OAuth**, **Search**, **Booking webhook** and **Health**.

Your system must be reachable on the public internet over HTTPS.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Map vehicle categories

Open **Vehicle category mapping** and link each Booking.com category (*Standard*, *Luxury*, *People carrier* and so on) to your vehicle classes, per division. Without the mapping, bookings may have no vehicle type and prices may be missing in search.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose how trips are handled

| Option                                      | What it does                                                                                                |
| ------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Auto-accept NEW bookings** | Tells Booking.com right away that you accept the booking. You still assign a company and driver as usual. |
| **Send the driver's name and phone number** | The passenger sees who is coming. Recommended. |
| **Send the driver's live position** | The passenger can track the driver on Booking.com. Recommended. |
| **Send notification to clients** | Sends email or SMS from CodiCo Dispatch to the passenger. Turn it off if Booking.com already notifies them. |
| {% endstep %}                               |                                                                                                             |
| {% endstepper %}                            |                                                                                                             |

## How bookings arrive

New bookings are picked up automatically every few minutes. Click **Sync bookings now** to check immediately. Each booking then goes through your normal workflow: assign a company, accept, assign a driver and complete the trip.

## Going live

1. Complete a successful test booking in sandbox with Booking.com.
2. Replace the sandbox URLs with the production URLs from Booking.com.
3. Update the webhook registration with the production addresses.
4. Test the connection again and run **Sync bookings now** once.

Partnership access, credentials and webhook registration are arranged with your Booking.com account manager, not in the admin console.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://codico-dispatch.gitbook.io/documentation/integrations/booking.com.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
