# Live Tracking

Follow online drivers and their active bookings on a live map.

**Live Tracking** shows your drivers on a map while they are online in the driver mobile app, together with the bookings they are working on. Use it to answer customer questions such as "where is my driver?" and to see which driver is closest to a new pickup.

## How to use it

1. Open **Live Tracking** in the sidebar.
2. Choose a company in **Select company** and, if needed, a driver in **Select driver**.
3. Set the date range in the top right corner to see the bookings for that period in the table below the map.
4. Use the gear button on the map to open **Map Settings**.

The table below the map lists the bookings with their number, status, pickup date, route, company, driver, payment and vehicle, in the same format as the [bookings list](/documentation/bookings-and-dispatch/bookings-list.md).

{% hint style="info" %}
If the map shows **All drivers are offline at the moment**, no driver is currently signed in to the driver mobile app with location sharing turned on. Drivers appear on the map as soon as they go online.
{% endhint %}

## Requirements

* Drivers must use the CodiCo Dispatch driver mobile app and allow it to share their location.
* Google Maps must be connected in **Integrations → Google Maps & Services**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://codico-dispatch.gitbook.io/documentation/bookings-and-dispatch/live-tracking.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
